I use my computer to play UT, Diablo2, Q3, etc. I also use it to watch DVDs. I want a set of speakers that will make full use of a SB Live card. Will an ACS54 meet my needs or do I need something more along the lines of ACS56/FPS2000 or even more than that like a DTT2500? I'm currently using 2 old desktop speakers so anything will be an improvement, but I want to be satisfied! Please post some links to speaker reviews/comparisons. Thanks!!

I don't have any reviews, but it doesn't matter--everyone I've ever talked too says these are the best speakers, period.
The Klipsch v.400 Pro-Media speakers. These retail for $250 and are a set of 400-watt, THX certified, speakers+woofer.
If you've got the budget for them you'll never be disapointed.

I have a set of Labtec LCS-2632 and for the $99.00 ( now about$80) you can't beat um!! Monitor suspended speakers w/ subwoofer. They also have besides a bass and treble adjustment, a 3D surround sound adjustment they really makes a nice , clear amazing sound. Play um low or blast them all you want. great deal for the money!!! http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

I use the ACS54's with my SB Live card and it sounds great! I would stay away from the Logitech Soundman series though. I had the sub + 2 speakers set, didn't like it and returned those for the sub + 4 speakers and that sucked too. So I have my ACS54's and love 'em plenty! For $100Can($65US) ya can't go wrong. Of course, if ya wanna spend $400+, then they'd better sound great!! http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

Well, looks like I can get the ACS54 kit for about $65 shipped. That's a hell of a lot less than $250. I'll consider spending more money, but only if it's worth it. Could someone please post some links to reviews / comparisons on these various speaker kits?
