i have a cat, his name is orion (like the mib cat), he is a yellow tabby about 3 years old..... well he is the friendliest cat i have ever seen, but is he too friendly? lol
he always wants to be with me especially when i am home alone and the dog is out (the dogs name is toby and orion always beats him up when he attacks him)
he meows constantly when i dont let him in my bedroom and he sometimes puts both his front hands (paws) under my door and waves them around meowing... he always jumps on my lap when i am in the living room and he loves to be petted....... so does he sound cute or annoying i think hes a cutie but he needs to chill out

Mine starting doing that after I got him snipped. I love my cat to bits but I find it a little annoying sometimes. I don't mind him following me evrywhere. But he always wants to lay down on top of me or sleep in bedroom. It's wierd, I always thought that cats were one of the most independant animals.

It's a phase, it's gonna pass or at least ease up a bit.

It is a bit annoying when they NEVER leave you alone..

I've had one that did that and after getting a couple of kittens that were doomed to the pound, she stopped it .

Now she's a normal cat, if there is such a thing.

I have one that will follow me through the woods or the yard.
Running up trees or if I stop, he'll just sit down near me.
This one is my deceased cat Bakers brother.

Perhaps get another one for yours to have company with..

My cat, Simon (http://members.home.net/0utpatient/Simon/Simon1.html) is the same way. He's usually waiting for me when I get home from work. He follows me everywhere. Even when I just walk into the kitchen for a few minutes or whatever, he's usually right on my heels.

Even when I'm in the bathroom taking a shower, he just HAS to be in there too. He'll lie down and sleep on the hamper until I'm done. When I'm at the computer he has to sit right in front of me on the desk, between me and the keyboard. Then he'll plop himself down on his side and sprawl out with his head & one paw on my keyboard.

When he comes in to bug me, he doesn't just want to be petted. That's ok for a few minutes but what he really wants is someone to play with him...he gets bored I guess. So I have to get a cat toy and play with him, or sometimes he goes and sits in his car (http://members.home.net/autpatient/Simoncar1.jpg) and waits for me drag him around the house. After a little bit of that, he'll usually just kick it in his car (http://members.home.net/autpatient/Simoncar2.jpg) till he falls asleep. Geeeez, what a spoiled brat I've created.

One helpful idea you might give some thought to is cat-doors. I've cut out cat-doors in almost every door in my house, except for the bathrooms and the front door. Just cut a small square hole in the bottom of the door and place a piece of cloth material to hang over it, and wha-la, a cat-door. This has saved MUCH annoyance with having to get up and open doors for the dang cat. And he loves having access to go anywhere he wants. Plus I don't have to worry about locking in rooms accidentally.

he seems not to mind the dog as company they play and stuff all the time.... hes always been friendly but he started meowing at the door a few months ago and just recently started putting his hands under the door...
your cat is pretty cute, orion loves to sleep in laundry baskets, and he has a wicker basket with a pillow he sleeps in alot
he had a colar but the dog chewed it off him..lol you aught to see him beat up my dog (norwich terrier) its pretty funny...

My cat will walk along w/me in the woods as faithfully as any dog. However, on the road, she gets nervous about people & dogs she hears, and then hides along the side. Then I have to go back.

lol wonder if some how your cat knows my three cats, got one know trying to sit on my desk, one staring at the 233mmx with it's head sidways listening/watching it ticking while it's reinstalling win.98. and the other one hiding and pounceing on the kids feet as they walk by, lol it's so funny seeing him do that and the kids sqeal and laugh and run away with him chasing them, then back to under the couch to do it again he goes. my deceased white calco cat sunshine used to get very upset if you closed a door on her, exspeacly if you were taking a shower, she also was a pillow hog. wouldn't sleep nowhere but on my pillow. had to get her a pillow so she let me use mine. lol thunderstorm sleeps in the bathroom sink at night, rainbow has to be under the covers by your feet and chuckie hangs out in the kids room at night. if I ever figure out how to post a pic here i'll post them for ya all. cheers

we have a cat named butternut(aka YOU LITTLE F****R)a 150 lb bloodhound named zuke and had a lilac crested amazon parrot. all three of us would go for walks down our road on nice summer days. butternut would follow us all the way down and back, jumping in ditch when cars would pass.(actually, dog and cat would walk, bird would be on shoulder LOL)all three were compatable, tho had to sell bird, was to darn noisy.the bird sure loved women tho......would hop on anywomans shoulder and say HI,how are YOU??????? while fluffing all up and pupils dialiating like crazy-acted kinda like me back in the 70s. as far as the cat goes about 50/50 cute/annoying ratio

Had one that would stand on your feet http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

Felt kinda good, those soft paws planted on top of my feet.
