I have a 33.6 modem but i am unable to identify it. I is an internal modem, but windows sets it up as a Rockwell 33.6 DPF External Modem. It works fine but id like to know what it really is and if possible get the correct drivers. Can anyone help??
Thanx - Rob
Here is a link to a website that has a few different ways to see what type of modem you have. I have used the FCC search before and it worked.

Can anyone point me in the right direction to find the drivers?? I've tried the web site but they only have 56k drivers and its 33.6bps

Go to This Page (http://www.modulartech.com/modem.htm) and scroll down till you find this text:
Windows 95/98 INF for 28.8k and 33.6 Internal/External Modems Its an .exe file so I'm guessing that it is a self extracting archive.
It's in the first table 3rd from the bottom so you dont have to scroll too far... Since there doesnt seem to be what would be considered a driver set for your modem..the inf file(s) provided will tell windows how to configure your modem so it will run the way it is supposed to.
When you go to install the modem, and windows asks for a disk. Point it to the directory where you have the inf file stored and windows will install with the parameters intended for your model..
There is also a couple of manuals on This page (http://www.modulartech.com/modemsup.htm) . Look for the first 2 entries in the last table. It is also quite possible that you may need this : "SerialWave VXD files needed for installation of Modem in Windows 95/98 (rockser.vxd serwave.vxd)" But I'm not sure there. I think it is for a voice type modem but if you need it ..its on the same page. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif
I hope that helps http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif
