Szech 05-05-2001, 08:26 PM I don't mind helping out, but I mail what to who where when? The link was to two links, and those links had a couple of links and some conversation that I must have caught the middle of. I have spare computer parts that I would like to go to a good cause. justy 05-05-2001, 08:38 PM I do a few upgrades for people nowadays. With the spare parts, I put low end systems togehter, and give them to whoever shows an interest. i.e. local scouts, local school etc. All the best, Justy. codybear 05-06-2001, 06:19 AM http://www.sysopt.com/forum/Forum13/HTML/002838.html contact Mortis for the mailing address and any other info you may need Mortis 05-06-2001, 10:01 AM Thanks CodyBear and everyone else reading this post! Any support and interest generated is wonderful! However, I do not want it to appear that I or the org I work for are soliciting this users' board. Ofcourse we are glad and excited when persons show interest and a desire to contribute- I just dont want to be innapropriate here or make any uncomfortable. My original intent was to post items here for sale or trade that we either do not or can not use and have all proceeds put back into the program. There are many great and local organizations that can use donated equiptment like mentioned in an above post. Please understand, We will gladly accept anything that someone wants to donate and appreciate this thread and CodyBears efforts in support, just do not wish to step on any toes. You "guys and gal's" are great!!! Here is a link to the organization that donations/trades/sales would benefit: http://weldpartners.org/ . Under programs on the site you will find info about the recyc program. Also, I can be contacted at the number on that site by asking for ext 19. Thanks everyone (codybear) for all your support! Mortis codybear 05-06-2001, 01:48 PM no this was not solicited in anyway...he posted some stuff for sale and I liked who he was involved with...helping kids...so I agreed to buy and have shipped to him and old 486 someone was selling to help...its a good cause and many people dont seem to realize that the "old" stuff they have sitting around collecting dust, wondering what to do with it, its all new and fast to someone that has never had a computer for whatever reason..........I dont expect much response from here but I know there are people here that have what is needed and it is collecting dust because you think it is worthless...well its not so help out some needy kids codybear 05-08-2001, 05:37 AM this is all the response I get for this??
