1977 Chevy Luv truck. Canary yellow. 4-speed. Had 4.11 posi rear-end. One of the coolest trucks I have owned. Had a nice set of off road tires (even though it was 2 wheel drive) and took it everywhere. I don't think it was every clean. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif Before I sold it , I had cut the top off and lowered it and put a set of 60's all the way around. It was sharp. The top could be put back on if it rained. Cool set-up.

1978 Nissan(I think) Datsun 120y. It's Black Black(meant to be dark metallic gray but paintshop mixed it wrong). It's 4 speed, never had a good carbi, it's had it's bonnet panel-beated twice and when I sit on 110kph on the expressway the bonnet flaps. On windy days I get a big gust a wind and she'll drop 10k's.She's great with fuel efficiency though but she burns oil like you wouldn't believe, I even got SAE60/25 and it burnt it even more. It's got 2 bottles of oil thickner now though, seems to have fixed it. It's a great old car and it's made it though the 3 Hellmund boys, but just barely made it though both my brothers. That thing's been brought back from the dead twice. It's had a signpost straight up the centre when my brother dodged a kid chasing a ball on the road.My other brother went spot-lighting and fried his headlights. He tried to drive him in the middle of the night hit a boulder at 50kph. It put the front left tire into the cabin. It's upto it's 3rd engine and 2nd gearbox. Unfortunately my brother ran her without oil before he gave it to me before he got his new car. One of the pistons is crumbling and it sounds shocking, this is the last engine we've got for it, so she ain't gonna last much longer, pity...sigh.... I'll really miss the old girl. Been a lotta fun in her compared to me ol's econovan I learnt in.
I'll post a pic when I scan it in.

1st and only car (well i'm only 17 after all!) is a 1987 daihatsu charade, metallic grey, its only a 3 cylinder, so as you can guess it has loads of power.... well maybe not. Tiz good on petrol, doesn't burn oil either. I've got a nice lil stereo system in it too hehe, JBL 6x9's mounted under front seats, 2x 10inch subs + 4x 8inch subs in the boot (all mounting boxes were built by me and my sisters hubby). Would love to post pics but i don't have any, so bad luck.

First car was a Vauxhall Astra (Opel Kadett in Yerp http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif) 1.6 carb hatchback. Quick enough, good enough on fuel, lots of storage space for a small car, 100% reliable..... got **** well nicked and ended on some rough estate being gutted... wheels, lights, seats, dashboard..... http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif

Back in 1986 Grandpa gave me his old car a 75 dodge dart with 280k miles. I drove it to 366k and then the engine caught on fire.

Greetings. First car: 1978 Comaro Z-28 with 3:73 rear, 4 speed stick with BorgWarner Super T10 Trani, #350 stroker motor (350 with 327 crank and pistons) and a six pack carb- always needed tuning, off road exhaust and 202 headers. Fun first car! Learned a lot and could fix almost all of it myself. Now-a-days, I look under the hood of a car and shudder. Then when I try to fix something, I can either not get my hands in there or my tools. Oh well.

Hello. My first car was a 1985 Buick Riviera. I had the coolest car in school. (not) This thing was huge and the engine could barely push it. Sold it to my uncle and within a week it was stolen by some gangstas' and found with numerous bullet holes in it. But my second car was a 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T 383ci with four on the floor. Loved that car.

'91 Jimmy S-15 4x4. It's a great beater, although I would love to replace that vacuum switch to get my front drive working. Dang thing won't budge.

Got it when I was 16, I'm 24 now n' still own it....

It's the only car that will still be on the streets when everyone else is hovering in there newest futuristic cars http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif

VW - it's not a car, it's a cult.

Currently, I am vehicless. By the end of the summer, I will have enough money for about a 94 Isuzu Rodeo, 4x4, V6. (first vehicle)

Hey Brandon, how's the BMW purchase going? One of my dad's friends has one (dunno what model)...that car is sweet http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif. I hope he lets me drive it sometime. I babysit for his kids every once in awhile...

First car? Or first that ran? hehe..
1961 Chevy BelAir 4 dr, bought for $35 when I was 14. Never drove it other than back & forth in the driveway! http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif
Driven: 1968 Dodge Coronet. Left a lasting impression. Only Chrysler product I ever owned, or likely to! 'Nuff said on that one!

Never had one that wasn't paid for by me, and don't think parental supplied new vehicles should count!! After all they aren't really owned by the child, are they? http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif

1953 Studabaker Champion. It was ugly, but all mine. After I bought it my Mom wouldn't let me drive it until I had insurance. Sooo four months later I was on the road. Long four months.

Warthog,

I'm sure I'll be the owner of one ('01 BMW M3) in early May, if my predictions are correct. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

A red rebuilt Hyundai Elantra; '97 model I think. Bought it just about a year ago I believe. And "rebuilt" means rebuilt - to look and act just like new. Fully loaded, power everything; me like. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/biggrin.gif

1966 Plymouth Valiant. coup with a slant 6.
sweet little car. the woman I got it from would keep the engine clean with windex.. (very scary thought being that clean)

That .28 per gallon was during the gas wars of 71, it's what I paid for the stuff then,,

The $.28 a gallon I paid for leaded regular was in 1969. I graduated high school that spring and sold the car to head off on my senior trip - Vietnam. Anybody else remember seeing those ads in the paper that started "Drafted - must sell..." Hopefully most of the guys got home to buy another car.
