Today 4/25 or 25th April is ANZAC day, a day of rememberance for OZ and Kiwi's that have fallen in war, not being a Kiwi or an Ozzy, it still has meaning as it brings back memories of all that have fallen friends family etc, to most these days they think only of the gulf and later conflicts but to some on these boards they remember friends and family that did not come back from WW2, As a child I remember playing in the bomb sites near my home in Wales, of Canadians and Americans I made friends with when in Cheltenham in England who went to Korea, or later Vietnam, to these I salute and give my minutes silence.

They gave all for us in the great Wars of the last century so we could live in freedom, Americans, Canadians, French, Dutch, South Africans, Aucstralians, New Zealanders, Indians,Etc, and even Germans who opposed Hitler.
My apologise to any that I have missed.

Lest we forget, let us remember them and not let it happen again.

Thanks WW ,My 83 yr old Dad marched in the ANZAC day march in Lismore in NSW OZ .He fought in Syria ,Egypt ,Celon and New Guinea. In NG he was a biscuit bomber ,they stood in the open doorways of Dakoda bombers dropping supplies to forward units. Our whole family is very proud when he dons his best suit and medals and walks more erect than is normal on the march.Sadly the numbers are dwindling but the spirit is still there!skai
