I'm looking for a fast semi-affordable RAID 0 , anyone have any recomendations? SCSI or IDE?

TIA

IDE is going to be the inexpensive route. You can get a Promise ATA66 card for $15- 25, modify it to a Fasttrak66 RAID card ( http://sysopt.earthweb.com/articles/ultrafast/index.html ) and get 2 IBM 15GB hdds (7200rpm ATA100 2MB buffer) for $105 each. Not too shabby. This setup can be shipped from CA to SC via UPS ground for $242.37 at multiwave.com (where I get loads of stuff). The IDE will be slightly slower than the SCSI (depending on the amount of $$$ invested) but is a nice boost. Windows boots up very fast and my system has less of a bottleneck on the hdds. No benchmarks done on it but it is noticable in real world application.
