While reading through the IE 5.5 download page at microsoft.com, i noticed something quite amusing:
Anti-virus software users: Some anti-virus software programs may interfere with this download. Please disable anti-virus software while installing Internet Explorer.

Standard issue warning.
You MUST disable your anti-virus prior to the installation of any software.
It's a good idea to disable any;
1. screensaver
2. powersavers, monitor, hard drive, stand-by
3. programs in the system tray, press ctl+alt+del to check what's running
DrVette
Which is something I have forgotten to do many times.
But, I can tell you that IE5.5 will install correctly even with NAV 7.0 running.

Well when i had IE5.5 Half an hour into the internet connection the desktop would go crazy with things disappearing and font sizes increasing and becoming bold . Went back to IE5(format+clean install) and there has been no problem for a week with the same setup .I guess it is a virus for me .
