I am in a process of putting together a pc. I got the floppy installed and now I'm trying to install a hard drive. I'm following the pc building guide on this site. The problem I have is that the HD came bare, I dont have any extender rails. It's a 30.7GB IBM and the case is an Enlight 7237. How do I install a HD in without those rails?
On the other hand, can I just install the HD in a 3.5" bay?

You could put the HD down by the floppy, that case will hold 3, 3.5" drives down there.

I didnt see your edit when I posted.
I have the same case, If your just putting in one HD, put in in the very bottom 3.5" bay. It will be right above your intake fan, and will leave room between your HD and floppy for the air to circulate.
Great case, I'm very happy with mine. I like the way the drives slide in and out, and the place the made in the back of the case for an extra fan.
Good Luck camaro. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif
