Hey, It seems like I was up around 60 or so posts and had Member status a while back, then today I noticed I was down to less than 20 posts and was demoted to Junior Member. Did anyone else experience this?? Was there a system crash or something that caused loss of data?? No big deal - I'm just the curious type.

Demerits or post count reduction can come for several reasons.
The parameters and requirements for the status changes are reviewed and approved or disapproved by the SYSOPT elders(OWO) otherwise known as
"the Old Wise Ones"
Depending on the flame count, the post veracity and the general credibility of the postee, reduction or credit to the total post count is established prior to the advancement from one level to the next.
The Old Wise Ones will reduce the post count as needed to prevent the unwarranted advancement of undeserving postees to preserve the quality, overall usefulness of and enhance the fulfillment capability of these forum pages.
Postees who repeat the same infractions of the unnamed rules are subject to secret and unknown punishments in addition to the reduction of posting credit numbers.
These terms are of course including parameters yet to be disclosed and behind the scenes blackballing but these are not limited to the heretofore mentioned accounts.
Limitations are subject to change at any time without prior or subsequent notice at the total and complete discretion of the system elders.
The staff of the old Wise Ones is mostly secret and the majority of them have checked off as wishing to remain nameless.
This presents a difficulty in knowing whose rectal area with which to provide the necessary negative pressure forces to continue onward and not be cast into the unknown abyss of darkness.
Overall the post count is not the main contributing factor in remaining in good standing with the OWO.
The rejection value diagram that the Old Wise Ones have contrived is a self graduating, side parallel, quantum oracle which is quanified by a triple-blind study done a Bellvue institution for the mentally insane in 1873.
Several other studies have been contrived and now are in use by the OLD Wise Ones.
Outpatient is the OWO in charge of the phan-tzee study.
Unfortunately, he is at present unavailable due to his most recent re-incarceration at Bellvue in upper NY, sometimes he escapes at night into the offices and comes to visit us at SYSOPT.
Granted the upmost efforts that any one member can contribute is the best way to remain in good standards with the OWO.
With luck he may remain at the previous post count without any demerits being credited to his/her account.
If ones behaviors cause a reduction of the count to the point of negativity then the members pen name and password are hereby revoked,, forever.
Several charts are used in the reduction methodology the worst being an "Aawsheet" . One of these removes 100 posts.
It pays to read, re-read and re-read again to make sure that none of the OWO cabinet members takes offense, disgust or confusion to the threads inclination.
One must make sure his verbiage is articulate, crisp, concise and to the point of complete and utter veracity, scope, completeness, accuracy, timeliness, and how it fits into the other forum postees responses.
In closing make sure the post is placed in the proper forum, this horrid and unexplainable error is sure to get a "Aaawsheet"

In my study of the sacred book, Pages of Wisdom, Continuing Thoughts and Direction of OWO. I stumbled upon a little known, and NEVER spoken of article.
While we hear many weeping with gnashing of keyboards, by those broken members attempting to offer repentance with burnt chips laid upon the sacred heatsink.
We find their cries have covered another's silent prayer of thanks to the OWO above.... for they have not noticed "some" have become "Members" without the trial's presented to those who came afore.
In other word's not by quality or quantity of post. Se we ask ourselves then how? Or why? One can only wonder....
Possibly this is an uncovering of a consipiracy by the OWO to systematiclly and discreetly dispose of those who are for some reason shall we say..out of favor? Just a word of warning...
If you discover missing posts, your user name could be next....

You may have become numb to those words, but I still find them objectionable, especially when used in the presence of women and children. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif
You are right about one thing, he did give you the benefit of the doubt when he edited your first message, but I wouldn't be so sure he'd be so kind now that you've <deleted> his comments and challenged his discretion.
