Here's one you might find really funny. I do, although I don't know why...... The DSL service I waited so long for? (about 3.5 months) Winfire.

surreal...check out AT&T's @home cable service. The connection is great...the customer service BLOWS, the email is down every two weeks or so and the Web service is a joke...BUT you get 7 email accounts, 7 10MB websites and REALLY great connection speed for 39.95 per month. Plus when I signed up it was half price for the first 6 months. So thats 20.00 a month for 6 months.
They include the cable modem, installation and the network card...no additional charge and unlimited usage all month long.
Check it out: http://www.home.com/index_html.html

Are you already usin Earthlink? They provide DSL, or check with PacBell or Verizon/(GTE) for availability, GTE gave me a list of small local ISP's reselling there service a couple years ago when I was connecting, I found one in Lakewood real close to me...PLUS it was cheaper then GTE was offering me directly...

I went with Verizon only because they are my local phone Co. and if you need anything done they are the ones who do it. I found that out trying to through other ISPs that didnt have a contract for my local switch. Each time I had to wait for that ISP to contact Verizon then having Verizon report back. Finnaly I said cut out the middlemen and deal straight with Satan himself. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif
The service stinks, not alot of options like AT&T but its always on as far as the connection, even though email and other things go down.
