So, tell us who your favorite bands are. Maybe throw in a couple of songs or albums [okay guys, they were what we played on "turntables" (we'll leave the definition of t/t for the next post...) before CD's were born.]
So, let me know what you like and if you really feel like it, tell us why.
I'd say my top two bands (in no particular order) are:
Rush- 2112 has to be one of the greatest albums ever produced! And All the World's a Stage (of course a lot of that is straight from 2112). Songs - In The End, Lakeside Park, Tom Sawyer should I go on?
Marillion - The "Fish era" for those who are familliar with the band. Misplaced Childhood, another one of the best albums I've heard. Songs - Kayleigh, Lavender, Blue Angel etc. I think Fish is one of the best lyricists / vocalists I know of. At that point in time (mid to late 80's) the band had a way of pulling you right into the song.
Then I'd say Steely Dan, the Eagles and Bob Seeger. All three bands have songs that I'll probably listen to 20 years down the road.

Alright guys! That's what I like to hear. Amazing how varied we are, huh? And all STILL interested in computers. Whether it's our vocation, livelihood, perversion or just our personal cross to bear!
Oh yeah, I forgot (speak of dated!) How about Uriah Heep? Talk about original metal! Queen (lots of their songs - Freddy Mercury and Brian May ROCK!) And one I could never live without - Drift Away by Dobie Gray.
Enough rambling from me,
WHAT DO YOU LIKE?

Yeah, but the problem is are you dated or 15 and into that stuff? You just can't tell now.
Look at my CD's and you would guess 18-23 yr old male. My son's and you'd guess holdout from the 70's.... (come on I heard it the 1st time I want something new) http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

zskillz,
Yes By-tor and the snow dog is a title of a song found in the 1975 album, Fly By Night.
