Can anyone tell me how to find out what kind of connector plugs in to the camera? Or maybe the pin to pin connection so I can rig it up to download the pics from it.

Or use the built in IrDA transciever??? Most interconnects like that are pretty specific, at least on one end (serial cable), check your manual that came with it when you purchased it??? Or goto your manufacturers website??? Or ask your dealer did they leave it out??? Didya possibly buy it as/is from a retailer??? A friend purchased an Epson printer returned as new...as/is, had no paperguide, ooops...useless, thanks Bestbuy... Camera dont feel warm to the touch by any chance does it? [This message has been edited by thekingofpain (edited 08-15-2000).] hammer29 08-15-2000, 08:20 PM Nope didn't get the cable, but did find out that the end that goes in the cam is a pcmcia 9 to a 9pin serial. The irda is on the cam, but still I have a plug-in on my mother board for irda and I am not sure if all I need is an infrared emitter/detector and some wire? And Sony is of no help either, they just want $100.00 for it. thekingofpain 08-15-2000, 08:25 PM How the heck did ya get it without the cable??? Its pretty much useless at this point unless you rig wildly or anti up for the 100$ cable... hammer29 08-15-2000, 08:52 PM Ok suppose we rig....what do I need for the irda connection on my mother board? It says laplink or pc to pc connection is possible this way. In other words I can get my pics that way. But I need the hardware for the hook-up. If my board supports it already, doesn't that mean all i need is the ifrared led and five wires to hook up to it? Here it is....pin 1-Vcc....pin 2-N.C(whatever that means)....pin 3-IRRX....pin 4-GND....pin 5-IRTX. Now the only one I don't know is the N.C? How do I hook one up? dkozloski 08-15-2000, 09:07 PM N.C.=no connection You don't get the cable when you get the camera from Bubba and Leroy behind the pool hall. [This message has been edited by dkozloski (edited 08-15-2000).] hammer29 08-15-2000, 09:19 PM $30.00 for it at the pawn shop! Not too outragous. I still didn't see a comment on the IR hook up.
