People with higher edu will lead the future and it's something to be very proud of. So just say what school you go to and your major.

People with higher edu will lead the future...

Oh really? Gates dropped out of college.

Also, does that "higher" education include not correctly spelling the word education?

A Divinity major.

I've been out of school for a year, but I haven't quite finished all the requirements to fully be degreed. Gotta get a couple of projects done before I can be a paid-in-full Bachelors of Computer Science.

Of course, I'm just doing my best Bill Gates impression. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif (Scott hasn't finished school yet either... took about 3 years)

Bill G8s also reckoned the Internet would amount to nothing and computers would only need a few kB of RAM, yet my PC seems to run better with 196MB than it does with 128...

Hmmm.... praps it's a good idea, if you're going to diss someone's grammer 2 czech ur own speling frst http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif

Last time I checked, it was spelled grammar. Unless you were referring to Grammer, IN.

I am a Biosystems Engineering major at Michigan State University. Set to graduate May, 2002. Graduated from Southwestern Michigan College in 98 with an associates degree in science.

I don't make fun of successful individuals who did not finish college. But there are many more who did.

People with an education will lead the future? I beg to differ.

Neither of my parents attended a college or university, and they have combined incomes which are probably higher than everyone's income on your block, combined. And that's assuming your neighbourhood earns a nice living.

The only way I can see myself attending college is if I think it would betterment my future in any way, shape or form and/or if it is required for what I want to do with my life.

I would most likely attend UCLA, or UC Davis.

I went all the way to elementary! 4th grade
that is!

I just got my GED though and am studying Computer Certifications ( does that count? )

I was fortunate to know a bookworm and a very smart person growing up, so I was very much into books and stuff when I was a kid.

But nowadays every job is looking for an Actual Diploma or equivalent, so it pays to stay in school! ( and drink your milk..don't do drugs!..heh heh ok enough Mr. T. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

Curiosity helped me to learn a lot!
Since my first computer about three years ago it has sparked a interest and a love for the endless wonder of these machines!
I am just glad that I was born curious and
like so many different things versus some people that I have known and seen that don't seem to have a passion for anything.

I started at Gerogia Tech, transferred to Savannah College of Art and Design, and am finishing my degree at Art Center College of Design. Be careful. Look at you education as a long term financial investment. That's an arguement both for and against it.
