I guess the going rate for a decent, quality scooter is around 50 bucks. Models: Oxygen and Rage. The specs: I'm wheels, 19 inch deck, rear foot brake (no hand brake) and 2 locks on the gooseneck. Merry shopping all.

Ouch! tdc 12-19-2000, 08:13 PM You are the man KRUSTY.Thanks. SysOpt 12-19-2000, 08:15 PM Sharper image has some motorized/electric ones.. One for $350 I think - that's the way to go if you ask me! http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif ablang 12-21-2000, 05:11 PM The cheapest clones I've seen go for $30. If they all get you from A to B, who cares how they fold up, if at all. Warthog 12-22-2000, 07:24 AM Man....I gotta come up with a good, simple idea like this...just think how rich this guy is for "reinventing" the scooter. Warthog MiKe85 12-24-2000, 06:12 AM I don't know why the scooter is so popular again....It has been selling good, i think the best selling toy or somewhere around there?? MiKe pickel 12-24-2000, 10:39 AM When I was a boy , we built our own scooters. Get a wooden milk box, a 2x4 , roller skates, a saw, some nails and a hammer. We'd put partitons on the bottom for baseball cards, marbels, and custom soda bottle tops to play "Skelley"( if you were a school yard kid you know what that is) We'd have races, demolition derbys and go everywhere on them around the neighborhood. The new high tech seems alot to leave to be desired. The personal touch is gone http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/frown.gif [This message has been edited by pickel (edited 12-24-2000).] Missing the point 12-24-2000, 05:15 PM mmm, personal touch...... *ahem*, back to topic at hand.... http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif I got a 70's style scooter, with the LARGE, 8" diameter, air inflated tires. I am putting a motor off of a blower on the back, and am gonna make it for a pit bike, when my dad goes racing again. I am doing it all myself, and with help from my dad, and It is gonna be REALLY sweet when it is done, because of the big wheels, it doesn't have any trouble going over rocks, through gravel, nothin http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif This thing is gonna be MEAN when its done, too http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/biggrin.gif Smell ya later! Jonty 12-25-2000, 10:39 AM I agree with Warthog - its always the simple 'obvious' thing that is invented and is an absolute success. However, who would have thought that anyone would have wanted to buy a 'cut-down' version of a scooter?? alondra 12-25-2000, 06:24 PM hey pickel I remember them well,,didn't cost $50 either. amazing what marketing can do http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif MiKe85 12-29-2000, 10:56 AM I remember having a scooter when i was younger (When Atari ST's ruled the world..hehe) I don't know why they are so popular again..but you gotta admit they are pretty fun to mess with http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif Mike SysOpt.com
