what is the preferred packet writing program? I'm using Nero burning rom and CloneCD and I think DirectCD conflicts with them. so what are the other programs and the links?

also, what is the best cd-rw disk for packet writing? I'm using memorex cd-rw platinum right now.

I have been having a HELL of a time with Nero 4.0 and 5.0.8(update). Come to find out I had left a couple of files from EZ CD Creator(Adptect). Have in two CD burning programs is a NO-NO! LOTS and LOTS of conflicts and problems. I got rid of ALL NERO and Adptect programs. Then installed the Adptect. It worked like a charm ! I also think its faster then NERO, TOO! I have been told that Kodak CD's are the best, I dont know that to be true. I'm buying several CD's from different brands and testing for myself.

Good Luck

You can't have DIRECT CD and NERO installed at the same time. They don't like each other. I've never had a problem with EASY CD CREATER and NERO installed together. Personally I like TDK cd's and NERO for backing up tough program's such as GAMES.

Nero used to crash whenever I started it up, but found out it did that because it was installed in a partition other than the c:. That was a mess, don't know if it is the mobo (its had problems) or Nero. After reinstalling it there though, its been an excellent program for me, for data & mp3, and very reliable.

Spressa Packet cd is the finest I've seen till now.

I can format my sony cd-rw to 1.1Gb, and the use of it is extremely easy.

When ya have it installed,it's just drag and drop.
It's like copying from 1 hd to the other, just as easy.

If anybody wants it, I have it, but....
