Value America filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection and plans to shut
down its retailing site to focus on electronic services. It laid off 185
employees.

I don't know about you folks, but I hosed them for those ValueDollars every chance they offered them to me. Nearly free money, as long as you needed the stuff anyway.
Just goes to show that while money can buy you happiness, it can't necessarily buy you web-customers! (j/k) hahahah or something like that!
Seriously, though, the acquistion cost per customer must have been huge, and I am willing to bet that there were few repeat customers who didn't just take the deals and run (like we all did!). http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif
