I have just voted in my first presidental election. I voted for Bush, the main reason being that I believe that he will protect the NRA. I hope I picked a winner.

Bush is certainly the obvious choice on the 2nd Amendment issue. Gun ownership in America will certainly be much different in 4 years if Gore wins.

Hopefully people also realize that Bush supports all the liberties afforded by the Constitution, not just the 2nd Amendment.

KAknight - Good for you. Whatever the outcome you can be proud you did your part. Alot of people don't vote and the country suffers for it. Keep it up! http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

KAknight,

It wasn't until I voted in my 4th presidential election that I voted for the winner. If dubya doesn't make it, you should still be proud that you participated. Way to go!

hehe I am proudly wearing my "I voted Today" button they gave me at the polls http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif I'm proud of each and every person that gets out and votes. No matter who they vote for! Although I do hope they voted the same way as I did http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/biggrin.gif

Congrats on your First! Enjoy and be proud that you did!

For those who didn't vote who were eligible..
Don't come whining about the policies of the elected officials you didn't take the time to participate. You had your chance and blew it!

In any election, big or small, the important things are that you participate, and that you vote for the person that YOU feel best represents your viewpoints.
Although sometimes neither does, then vote against the worse case.
