I'm going to have a comp soon. And the monitor will be much bigger(19 vs 13) then my TV, so I would like to watch cable(no TV signal in my area) on my monitor. How do I do it? I will soon have the Geforce2MX card btw.

um get a tv turner card. Thats the best response i think your gonna get. if you want a nice card with tv go for a vodoo or an ati.

If your wanting to be able to watch cable from the internet that will not happen (least not yet) but if you have a tuner card and want to hook cable up to it then that is a different story. Your video card or a seperate tuner card would be required. I hope this helps.

BTW....I have an ATI All-In-Wonder video card, and the quality of the tuner is awesome. Very good picture, lots of neat features with the video tuner software, etc.

I'm on my second All-In-Wonder and love it. Started out with a 4MB, now I got a 16MB Rage 128. The tuner is not QUITE as good as a regular TV but close enough for me. I don't have room in here for a TV.

It doesn't say anywhere that the Geforce2MX has a TV tuner build in. So I'm assuming it doesn't. Does it matter then what TV tuner card I get? Are they all basically the same?

if the card did have a tv tuner it would of had a cable outlet on the card so you plug in a cable line. you can go and get a pretty nice one for about $75.00. try looking up at www.pricewatch.com. (http://www.pricewatch.com.)

I also own the ATI All-In-Wonder 4MB card, and unfortunately, isn't a good card for picking up cable channels, despite having basic cable. Most cable channels are still scrambled.
