This may be and Apps/OS type post, but I figured it's important enough to post here.

Computer Associates has release InoculateIT 5.1. Personal Edition. It's a FREE anti-virus program and comes with free updates. I use it exclusively and I've been very impressed. Grab it now.

The subscription model that Norton and McAfee offer is rather annoying (even for the trial versions), escpecially for Antivirus Software.

I've been using it for a while and I think it is excellent. Upgrades every 2 or 3 days. A good product, relatively small program (and free).
