AdamP 08-10-2000, 11:56 PM Hello, Have you checked to see if your BIOS is able to support the drive? If not, the floppy disk that came with the HDD should have a BIOS overlay program that will allow the BIOS to use the full capacity of the drive. Also, are you using a FAT32 file system? You will need FAT32 if you will be using partitions larger than 2GB. I think you need FAT32 if your drive is larger than 8.4GB. Win95B and Win98 support FAT32. Good Luck. Hellmund 08-11-2000, 04:56 AM Could you be more specific,Is it not being recognised at all or just not as a 10gig drive.David is right if it isn't recognised as 10gig.Just go to Start>Programs>Accessories>SystemTools and Fatconverter 32bit.If it dosn't find the drive is it in the right configuration e.g Slave or Master? Also make sure that the master drive is the on the first connecter from IDE1 and the slave is the next one.Mzke sure the drive is found in the BIOS as well as windows won't see it if the BIOS dosn't. If this dosn't help be more specific on your setup please. Hellmund Entragian ][ 08-11-2000, 08:05 AM Also check the jumpers on the HDD itself. Make sure you have it set correctly. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif Entragian ][ KAknight 08-11-2000, 08:07 AM you might want to try partitioning it into several smaller 3-4GB drives. Windows should be able to see those. SysOpt.com
