Variable

I know the post count was disabled in the community forum soon after it was set up but I never found out the reason why?
I think it would be a good idea to re-enable it because in my opinion most posts in the community forum nowadays are worth being posted and counted.

Posts don't count in community? Let's see, I have 931 before this post...
And I have 931 now... I'll be darned!
I see the point though.

This site was first set up by SysOpt to be a tech site, Therefore in my humble opinion the post count in the community forums should not count as their is many people who do not venture out of the community forum to help in the "tech" side of the site much.

Ok then, a compromise - two seperate post counts; one for just the Community, along with the standard one.

I say we deduct 10 posts from Jeff7's total for making that suggestion. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif j/k

Two post counts would require a significant software rewrite. Something I'm not going to do, sorry.

Scott, maybe you are already aware of this: I think my post count went up with one post when I posted a new topic in the Community forum. So is this on purpose,is it a bug or am I mistaken?
Btw,Jeff, what would we want a 2nd post count for?So everyone can see who talks too much and who doesn't? http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif
