all I said was that I know alot about computer and that I uses it 10 hours a day.
I would ask them all kind of computer related question and they wouldn't have a clue and yes I do wear glasses. Even thought I'm computer smart I'm pretty much know little when it come to anything else.

Well, all I can say is do what you enjoy but don't limit yourself to only one thing....

Get out, your young...plenty of time for computers in the long run, go see the sights once in a while!

Well.. they probably.. call you a nerd.. for what you don't know or do... that or they feel that you are superior to them... in the computer section.. like you know to much more than them that they just can't handle it you "nerd"... etc..

I have never been called that... I have been called a smart *** more times than I can count, but that is ok http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

Get out there just like BBA says get out there, start hanging out more with friends, go to strip clubs, go golfing, join a softball team, take a trip... to like Hawaii... get a tan, get laid.... etc... loosen up buddy... when they call you a nerd they only say that because of something you have that they don't http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

Unless they are total asses, and they think they are way better than you.... High School Related.. blah! I am in college and at school.. I am looked at as a technical advisor for alot more than just computer stuff.. and at work I get questions apon questions about certain things... heck I have met some fine lady out of it and have gone of alot of dates in which... I don't talk to much on computers and if I do.. I am not talking technical... purely layman terms.. so that they understand.. and make sure people understand, so they don't feel stupid talking to you http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

I agree with bclampitt on everything
except the part about strip clubs. it is
more useful to meet normal females in
more normal locations - the supermarket,
the laundramat, a bar, the ballgame, etc.
strippers do not have positives opinions of
their customers - as a rule.
Instead,join a co-ed softball team.
join the ymca/ywca. join
a computer club. learn to sail or scuba
or go dancing ......anything but a strip club. I speak as someone who has been
the roommate or boyfriend of four strippers.

geek (gek) noun
1. Generally, a person who enjoys cerebral activities (such as wordplay, computer programming, and use of the Internet) more than the mainstream population does. Geeks in this sense increasingly claim the word with pride, but it may give offense when used by others, suggesting inadequacy in normal social relationships.

Wow. You used that word perfectly. You should get a nobel prize or something, i hear those are being passed around like my friend's sister. (yeah, he knows what i'm talkin about.)
