Anyone live in DC?

I was looking at some universities in the DC area and was wondering about the cost of living there. I've heard about California...ughhh. What about the city? Good, bad?

I'm alittle familiar w/the DC area. I suppose it's not any worse than other large metropolitan areas. Cost of living is pretty dang high. Course, if you can stay on campus you can avoid some of it. Also, there's a lot of things to do & places to see.
