I definitely am.
My day starts at 11/12pm til around 3-5AM usually. I hate waking up early and I hate hittin' the sack @ 10, way too early IMO.
I think I'd be well suited to the Vegas night life http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif
What about U?

Nope... I just can't ever seem to go to bed.
But once I get there, I fall asleep instantly.

I used to be a huge night owl! About the same hours as Plucky. Now I have to get to school for 8:00am and it's a pain to get up that early :/ Heh, I need up to 10 hours sleep sometimes though http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif
Well...I could definitely use more sleep than I have been getting the last few years
Yep. Definately. I worked night shift for 10 yrs, and since moving to days about 5 yrs ago, I still can't get the hang of going to sleep early. (anytime before 2 AM)
Years of going to bed when I'm tired & getting up when I'm finished sleeping left me unable to sleep a fixed schedule. Man was NOT meant to be awaken by loud noises! (Alarm clocks)
I'm usually running on about 4 or 5 hrs sleep, often less. Seldom more.

I have discovered that I need an absolute minimum of 7 hours of sleep to function somewhat normally during the following day. But I am in the same boat as you guys - I would prefer 10 hours of sleep or so. 7 hours isn't really that great for me. I just won't be falling asleep while sitting. I would with 5-6 hours of sleep.

Yep. - when I was younger, I consumed abnormal amounts of coffee and I have to not have any coffee for like two weeks before my sleep paterns return to normal - it's really screwy.
I have been at times.
My worst stretch included 6 30+ hour periods of sleeplessness, the longest being 40 hours. I'd sleep 4-8 hours in-between them.
It's a very interesting state of consciousness after being up for more than 24 hours. It’s hard to describe. It's also very boreing.

Yeh - when you're lying there at 4am, wide awake and thinking "oh good got to get up in 3 hours". Overtired is what mum called it when we were kids.
Why is it though that if you want to stay up till 3 you're always knackered and falling asleep by 11? http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif

I stay up late, but not too late. And I stay up late, because I have stuff to do. Not because I cannot sleep.

If I have like any coffee, it just sets off the effect of the years of too much coffee for ages. See, I used to make coffee with a drip - 112mg per cup. But, I was kinda using really huge cups, so it was kinda like 165mg per cup - 4 of them a day.......
