To be individual..different..eccentric...unusual...these are traits that are considered admirable in hindsight...but do you think its worth it? Have you ever felt so out of the ordinary that you were afraid no one would ever truly understand you? What if being yourself meant that you would most likely never find a soulmate...or that you would have to develope an acceptable mask in order to maintain friendships all the while knowing that the friendship was based on who you could pretend to be, not who you are.

Unto thine own self be true

Some of my friends are dysfunctional, and I presently have no life partner. [Applications considered http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif] Nothing would cause me to "fake it" and lose my own integrity. I like myself and get along just fine ~ alone but never lonely. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

Seriously. Evnen though humans are social animals that doesnt mean you have to spend all your time with them, or be like them. Its not a matter of figuring out if you want to be in the flow or different, its a matter of being sure of who you are. Once you do that you won't care one bit where you fit into the scheme of things.
