I've had this site on my fun folder of bookmarks for a while now... finally decided to open it up to all ya'll. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

on a scale of 1 to 10 (with 10 being most geek, and 1 being most stealth), I'm probably around a 5. I'm sure I could get a better rating if I got off this blasted PC every now and then. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

I would have to say that I am rather stealthy myself.........

I would have to gague myself at being around a 7, after all, I do have a ham radio license too.

Joel, nice topic. Thanks.

Does "Stealth" geek mean a geek's ports aren't open?

********************************************
Yes. Yes, I see now, Socalgal. A true Stealth Geek would not allow his/her ports to be probed, unless they consent to it.

BFlurie, of course it does. You can't be stealthy with open ports! http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif

I am SCG - SGG, don't you know? Now I have to work on stealthing my car from radar... http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

How apropro:

"Female stealth geeks find male stealth geeks absolutely adorable. (true) http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

"They like their lack of annoying male ego, (true) they find the shyness appealing, (true) and they get really turned on by the glasses. (?)

"Unfortunately, female stealth geeks also are a bit self conscious and aren't able to really make a play to catch the male stealth geek, (true, true) who is usually completely oblivious to her interest. It can go on like that indefinitely, both being very fond of the other but neither doing anything about it (and I'm not going to touch that example with a ten-foot pole)." http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif

(Parens added, excepting last.)

lol.

Oh, I'm guessing I'm around a 5, as there's no real scoring system.

Uh oh... now I know that socalgal is more stealthy than am I. So that means either she is lower on the rating system or I'm higher. I'm gonna vote that she's lower. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

/me votes that socalgal is a 3. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif

Why, thank you, Joel http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif (...I think...[I never know what he's up to http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif ])

I just run Stealth Alarm in my personal tray. It keeps most of my geek ports hidden - unless I'm hit by a "Trek Attack" or some hacker sends me the word "Matrix." http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

I had to say it...
