I'm building a 700Mhz Thunderbird system. I need to get 128MB of 133MHz memory. Does brand name really matter? What's good? Where do I get it? For example one site had this.
CORSAIR:CM64S128A-133, 128MB PC133 SDRAM, 16X64, 168DIMM, UNBUFFERED, CAS3
CORSAIR:CM654S128-133, 128MB PC133 SDRAM, 16X64, 168DIMM, UNBUFFERED, CAS3
CORSAIR:CM654S128-133C2, 128MB PC133 SDRAM, 16X64, 168DIMM, UNBUFFERED, CAS2
What's the difference? Which one should I get?

Not sure about the difference in the model number on the first two as they both are 133 and Cas 3. You want RAM to run at CAS 2 though so if there is a time when it becomes unstable, it can move itself to Cas3. If it is already at Cas 3, then if the system becomes unstable because of Ram, it crashes since there is no such thing as cas 4.
Simple terminology on this one but this is the jist.

There's some good SDRAM info at Overclockin' (http://www.overclockin.com)
I have the Memory Man Mosel-Vitalek ~ goes 155 OK. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

CAS-2 RAM is always better though it may not boost your gaming performance much. Also, there's a lot of CAS-3 RAM that will do CAS-2--but you can't bet on it.
If you intend to OC, definitely buy CAS-2.

You can't go wrong with good ram brands.Mushkin,Samsung,Micron,Mosel,Piny,a couple others. I think the prices are too high to buy retail when on quite a few for sale boards you can get top line 2-2-2 128MB 133 ram for $125-$140,check out Anands,it's there every day.
