Does anyone know the diffrence between the live and value.A friend just bought a value for 59.$ and i bought the X-gamer for 100.$,i hope there is a tech diffrence and not a bundle software diff.

hmm i think the only diff is the SP-DIF connector the value 1024 does not have it but i think the x-gamers does

I think all values now come with the digital out. what you are basically paying for is the games and other software that came with the x-gamer.

i got a live value 2 months ago. it has a digital out. i think the older values didn't have that option but these days, the software bundle is the only difference. well, that and that drive bay thing on the platinum.

I've got an SBLive Value (oem) as well, and it has digital out too. Did'nt see the sense spending more money for some software I did'nt want.

Skywalker.......you keep mentioning "1024" when you refer to the SBLive. Excuse my ignorance, but just what do you mean by that?? Thanks.

Platinum...it cost more too.

I have retail SB-L Value ( CT 4760 ) with no digital out connector, but a 2 pin CD SPDIF input I hook to my DVD's SPDIF output instead of the normal 4 pin audio cable. The Values that do not have this have teh digital output.

To think, I do currently use the SPDIF input with the normal PC componants... but I would probably not ever use the digital output if I had it.
