I was wondering if anyone could give some suggestions on which would be better for a college dorm room. Logitech's cordless desktop pro or Microsofts Natural keyboard pro?

I have the logitech one..no complaints. And If I have a choice, I always choose logitech over microsoft. So thats my answer http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

A cordless keyboard is nice because you can set a screensaver password and lock your keyboard away in a drawer of something. This is useful if your roomate has a lot of people "stopping by" and you don't want them on your machine.

Well, I was about to say that I have never found a reason to own a cordless anything (what are you gonna do, walk around with it?), but Knight changed my opinion.

Mike, you could just hide it somewhere. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

Well, they are also nice because, well...no cords. I sit in my recliner with a mouse pad built into the armrest and surf in comfort. it is definitly worth it.

KAknight's got a good idea there. Nice thing is no cords......got enough of that junk behind the computers. I wish they'd come up with a good cordless joystick (maybe they have??)

My personal preference is the old IBM keyboards with coily cords (like phone cords). They have a lot of heft and the keys pop off for cleaning. That's what I use everyday. But I used a Logitech for a year and my wife's computer has one, and it's a pleasure to work on a box that has no cord to get in the way. BIG plus.

When I went off to school, I bought a big trunk with a lock on it. I keep all my cds and anything else I don't want people getting into in there. It was worth the investment. Its also really handy for moving.
Let me know how it works out.
