Ok, this is about the only time I feel unsure about the right to bear arms in public....In relation to the exectuion of Graham some black panthers are out walking around with shotguns and other weapons. I am glad I dont like in Texas right now.
Get some KKK out there with guns back http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif Let them have a ho down in the middle of a field
Oh yea, I dont want to be called racist becuase I used the KKK in my explanation. Anyways the Black Panthers ARE the black equivelant to the KKK, dont no one even try to argue that point with me.

Wow, it seems like this forum is turning into a front for the NRA. Oh well. As Forest Gump said many times, "Stupid is as stupid does". What will be the end result of this inane and absurd event? More bloodshed and more cries from angry parents for more strict regulation on guns. Its funny how when something like this happens, people always say that their glad that they aren't there. A fine example of this is the constant tumult that happens in large cities.
It's sad to see that people can't get over their differences and lead productive and harmonius lives without trying to blame each other for their own shortcomings and inequities. As in the words of Rodney King,"Can't we all just get along?"

Remember, the right to bear arms applies to everyone, even people like the Black Panthers. I do not agree with their "intimidation" tactic, but if I want to carry a gun in public, then I must expect people that I do not agree with will also carry guns. It is a downfall, but one that I can deal with in the name of freedom.

Can't we all just get along?

...and now he's dead.
It was for a 1981 murder. My question is: Why did it take 19 years for him to get executed??? I understand that there was a trial, etc. but he must have been in prison for a long time. Did they run out of poison or something?
I guess we'll never know the truth. This legal system is not without flaws.

every death sentence includes mandatory appeals, to make sure te wrong man is not killed. Its a long, drawn out process...

ILC what’s up with that bro? I have held my comments back until I saw your other closed thread, and for a good reason. I do not think you have a firm grasp upon what you are saying.
How could you possibly compare the two? Do you really have any idea what you wrote? That statement makes you look like a bigot.
Lets see the KKK is not dissimilar to NAZIS. They believe that only their race is the correct one just like Hitler did.
The Black Panthers were created because of the prejudice of white Americans at the time.
Why was the KKK formed? Because they are a bunch of ignorant bigots, that’s why.
No, neither organization is correct but at least one had a justifiable reason for forming. 33 years ago there were still white and black rest rooms that you cannot deny. Still today there are places blacks cannot go to or they get run off, I know of at least one city here in Tennessee that is like that. For example the Masons still have white and black lodges (here in Tennessee). Even if a white man joins the black lodge they are not really welcome to the white lodge and this is supposed to be a brotherhood.
Our country still has a long way to go to overcome our past when it comes to these issues. And people like you are of no help.
