Geez this is so pathetic! This is a testosterone-filled mine-is-bigger-than-yours contest. Posting your machines for bragging rights, Okay man, brag to all us random ppl all over the world, and see how much we care. Maybe I speak for myself, but I just think you're silly.

Just to see what people got standing around.
Nothing else, and certainly not pethatic, as you say it!!!!
So just join the fun and brag a little yourself, or maybe you have such a system you would be embarresed to talk about???
Don't be ashame, you can't help it, just save some money for a new power thingie!!!

C'mon F=ma, doesn't everyone love a pissin contest??
Size does matter!
To whit:
1GHz Athlon processor
MS-6195 mobo
256MB SDRAM
Seagate 4.3GB primary drive
Hot-swap removeable secondary drive: right now Maxtor 13.6GB
300W Redundant PSU
Inwin Mid Tower case w/4 fans (2 in/2 out)
HP 9100 CDRW
Jaz 2GB
Zip 250MB
1.44MB FDD
3dfx Voodoo 3 2000 AGP
3Com 10/100 Enet NIC
Adaptec 2630U SCSI card
Sound Blaster Live! Value S/C
Zoom Model 2929 56K Dualmodem
NEC Multisync 90 19" monitor
IBM ruggidized keyboard
Logitech wheeled mouse
Altec Lansing surround sound w/subwoofer
HP 970Cse printer
APC Matrix UPS 3000 (10 systems supported by this UPS)
The above system is my personal workstation, the others are used by guest employees and consultants.
I've got three other identical workstations except they have 750MHz Athlons, and I've listed the remaining 6 systems in the past so I'll save characters here.
My next buy will surely be most obnoxious, a rack-mounted Proliant server!
But it occurs to me that the hardware is NOTHING without solid, versatile software. I've got about $20-25K of software on my machines...I need ten (yes, 10!) copies of OS's and Office. The expensive stuff is the CAD and design software...sometimes as much as $10K per seat. Obviously a business expense, it becomes impractical for a home user or tinkerer.
Jeez, I'm going to need a sysadmin real soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Until a little over a year ago ,I knew nothing about computers. With the help from many folks here and on other BBS, I've ,all by myself, which I take great pride in ,compiled my little but sweet running computer. I seldom run my mouth about it , but after F=ma's comments, I can't help but particpate in this threads. Bigger isn't always better. You will also find that there has been LOTS of these types of threads done here at SysOpt and on the other boards..... It's NOT done to try and "put down" anybodys system but a way to showcase your systems. Over the course of the year that I have been an active member of SysOpt I have received MANY emails from people that have seen these "bragging" threads....In them they ask additional questions about WHY did you choose this brand/model over someother brand/model? How is your stabablity? What has been your likes/dislikes of a certain setup? Asking me of my thoughts about a setup that they are thinking of building.
I find that we have all had a bit of fun with the ocassional "what's your system" thread. Further I have yet to see one of these threads here turn into a "slam or flame thread" were Members have ever made comments such as ...Sheeze your system stinks or that thing couldn't type more than 3 words without having to take a boot break. ect ect. If you were to search the archive for the past threads such as this one you will find that we have had member post the spec's their screamin machines to their old faithful's.
Just my humble thoughts http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif
