Probably the best collection of computer tech minds, that I'm aware of, are on this forum. I'm proud to be a small part of it.

Thanks.

I second that. I've said it before, but it's so true I'll repeat myself. Great group!

Yes! That is, if they could breath your "atmosphere" without floating away. - Elf

Hi, I'm new around here, but I've hung around the AGN BBS for a while now. It'd be great to get some guys like you over there as well. It's a good place to buy/sell/trade your stuff too. Personally, and I know most people there would agree with me, that it is the best computer hardware bbs on the net right now. I don't want to push my bias opinion on you guys since I haven't been here long, but you guys should check it out as another place to talk. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

I think I'm gonna start hanging out at this forum since I've heard a few good things. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

I must agree that the atmosphere and people here are top notch. I frequent several forums in the hardware genre, Anandtech, ArsTechnica, AGN, etc, but this is the only one I will bother to check everyday. The people with questions here are almost always fairly nice about it, and the people with answers are informative and helpful. Even if they don't have an answer, they provide good natured entertainment, which can be its own kind of help when you are having a computer problem.

I'm working to launch my own website in the near future and I hope I can create as good of an environment as Scott, Joel, the other admins, and the viewers here have put together. Now if we could just get some rogue Intel engineer to drop in here and unlock all of our multipliers, it would be perfect... http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif

I'm new here also, and I have to agree with all of you, the Post's here (does that apostrophe belong before the "S" after the "S" or not at all, I'll never know) are much more intelligent, than on other BBS's (there's that apostrophe again, oops another, Help) and not all the bickering either.

There is never a stupid question posted here. Everyone here seems to remember when they first turned on the box - and reply to inform - not to rule Omnipotent over a herd of dummies.

Definately a good group! Hope will stay that way for a long time. Always good to see, or be part of, a "newbie" getting the advise he needs without any of the "that's stupid!" kind of answers.
Hope that my advise has helped some of you as much as yours has helped me.

LJE2 - Without the apostrophe is technically correct for plural of post or BBS, but it looks better with it IMO.

Gentle Giant is correct - no stupid questions. But then "there are no stupid questions, only impatient answerers".

Now if we can just calm the one with so many dense answers.

I love this place! Its a great place to seek new knowlege (as the computer world changes daily with new products and tweaks) and to sometimes share a wee bit of insight with others that may/might benefit from our own personal expertise and trials/failures/tribulations...

My hat is off to ALL that share their Knowlege!

I finally had to bite on this one too. yep, this is the best place around.

I have been thinking lately that someone should compile a tech support book based on topics that commonly come up on this board - it would probably be a best seller.

Thanks to everyone!!!

I twentieth that! I have never been around so many techies! I have gotten some mixed up info, and I am the first to admit that I have given some faulse info, but all in all it is a great setup, and I have gotten answers to all but 2 of my questions.

Cheers people!!!
My first experience with a bbs was over at 3dnow.net.It was really hard to get an informative answer to a question amidst all the squabble over whose chip was better.(Amd vs. Intel)After coming here I realized there really is intelligent life out there! http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif
Anyway, keep up the good work and hats off to a good group of people!

Thanks for your help everyone...and if I've helped anyone or even given an idea to ponder then I count myself a positive contributor. Albeit a small mind among giants. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/biggrin.gif
