Well, The computer arived this afternoon. It looked like a M-88 ran over it {tank retriver} ok, I opened up the box, well suprise.. It was packed in millions of peanutsso it had only a little dent on the side of the case. no big deal. opened the case and WHOA!! all the jumpers were gone from the mo/bo, every wire was unpluged and all the cards were just laying there in the case, the mo/bo was not even attached to the inside of the case, just flopping aroung. the dam cpu/hs was just banging around in there too.Kinda ticked me off. Well the was the start of tonight'd quest, seeing if anything was salavgable. cd drive was doa, along with the floppy drive, no biggy, gots lots of spares. went looking for the manuarl online to find out where the hell to put what jumper where. {good thing I keep all those when I strip a mo/bo} well, got 99% of the jumpers back where I hoped they went. put a stick of 16mb ram in her ,my old isa stealth 24 vid card and an 800mb hdd, that has win. 95 on it. turn it on,,, nothing. opps forgot to plug it in,, tryed again, wouldn't post, Hmmm, fussy thing didn't like the hdd cable backwards, one more time, booted to post, fdd error {40} hmmm. well try this fdd, again, posted and froze on hdd search, ****, it's a good hdd too, but just maybe, back to the closet and grabed a 500mb maxtor, dam thing better work, booted, posted, founf fdd, found hdd, no op system found, I knew that as I wiped that hdd a while ago with norton, shut down, pluged in a gernaric 8x cd drive, booted, found that, shut it down, rebooted to win 98 boot disk, it hic uped a few times, had to reboot, fdisk/formated hdd, held breath, D:/setup,, win. starts seting up. it's running now, burps once in a while, I think because I got 3 places where I didn't know what pin setting to set the jumpers at. hey at least it works. this quest took me all afternoon to get this far with it. I had to fool around with the jumpers alot while I was trying to get it to post. at least it has a 2x agp slot and I hope the SIS 6326 8mb agp card that was with it works, I'll find that out later tonight. now I got to find some stand offs for the mo/bo, there was none, have cardboard crunched up behind it now.. I'll post more findings as I discover them.. Thanks for all your support... Madfish
