Missing the point 08-01-2000, 06:17 PM I just got my 386 to work, and I am wondering what some good programs to play around with are..... doesn't need to be games.... jl123 08-01-2000, 06:20 PM Here is a link to a few games. I'll come up with some more later. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif http://mypage.goplay.com/dosgames/ ~Joel skywalker[TSG] 08-01-2000, 06:22 PM you and your 386 ur in love with it man grunt 08-01-2000, 06:25 PM Do a Goole search for abandonware. Missing the point 08-01-2000, 06:30 PM For one, I AM in love with it, and 2, It is using Win95, BTW Missing the point 08-01-2000, 07:40 PM any good games for Win95 that I can use? I can use games that will work on a 486, because this thing has more ram than most 486's, with 32MB linux_guru 08-01-2000, 08:08 PM A good program for your 386 ? Linux ! Brangwen 08-01-2000, 08:50 PM For word processing, WordPerfect v. 5.1 (DOS) is excellent. When I first purchased 2 386s (for around $1500 each), WordPerfect was THE word processing program for my law practice. Couldn't beat it with a stick. For gaming, go with PacMan, Tetris and DigDug. Missing the point 08-01-2000, 09:57 PM damnit, warcraft 1 is on a CD tho, I don't got a CD ROm http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/frown.gif Missing the point 08-02-2000, 08:13 AM No good games that will run on a 386? http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/frown.gif mike511 08-02-2000, 08:18 AM I might be wrong on this but, no matter how much memory you have, if the game is specificly made for a 486 or above and uses dos4gw its NOT going to run on a 386 no matter how much memory you have. There are still a difference between 386's and 486's. If you like flight sims, Microsoft flight sim 4 will run on a 386, i use to have one with it on it. ALso WOrd version 2.0 or works 2.0 for windows will run excellent on a 386. Eli 08-02-2000, 06:13 PM The Warcraft 1 demo was on floppy. Besides, there are ways of getting around the no-CD drive problem. Interlink or DCC immediately come to mind. Be creative. RataToo 08-02-2000, 08:54 PM how bout leasure suit larry,...hehe....yall remember that one? or kings quest....maybe sub hunt SysOpt.com
