Hi Everybody!

I have ICQ 2000 and was wondering how to get messages when I am away and ICQ is not running. I cannot seem to find an option to "get messages" which seems liek the logical idea, and my message archive does not show anything when I log on. Do I have to have the program running all the time to get my message when I am away? and does this pose a security risk to leave it up all the time? (And how many undesirable messages will I get form all the spammers!)
Thanks
Dave

Also ICQ Help nor their website seemed to shed light on this...

IF you don't have ICQ running and someone were to message you while it wasn't running, the next time you start up ICQ a picture of a letter, i think it is, would be flashing next to the persons name that messaged you while you were out. then all you do is double click on that persons name and it will pop up with the messege they sent you. Hope that helps.

What if they aren't in my contact list? I assume they would show up in my list under waiting for authorization?

I guess the person ICQing me doesn't have my correct # b/c I have never had that pop up. Thanks guys
Dave

If they are not on your list, they will flash in the "Not on List" section.
