Can you run two hard drives of the same make and size but different spindle speeds in a IDE RAID configuration? I have (2) Western Digital 10.2GB HD's but one is 7200rpm and the other is 5400rpm. Thanks.

You will not see any gain of using a 7200rpm disk as the array will adjust itself from the slower HD. But, don't worry, it will work just fine and will be faster than a single disk !!! Enjoy !! Stan Spencer 08-02-2000, 06:14 AM Cool, thanks. I think I'll give it a try. SysOpt.com
