Bovon..I believe it is a US Robotics 56k Voice Data/Fax modem. Not sure about being a Winmodem. And it works fine, just had to pull it out because of an upgrade in Motherboard and CPU. New board doesn't have any ISA slots.

Ok, well for $15 bucks, I'll give it a shot. Putting together an older Tyan/AMD K6-2 450 for my daughter...and she almost has to have a decent modem. She lives out in the sticks, and we have tried winmodems, and her connectios suck. So I started looking around for a good USR ISA modem...and then, started gathering parts to just upgrade her system altogether.

btw, the BE6 will support a pIII up to 1000mhz. Only @ 100fsb though. I know because I am running one right now.

It doesn't read in the BIOS correcctly but CPUID and all the benchmarks show 1000mhz.

It's just that the multiplier is too high in the BIOS but works just fine.
