Looking for decent size hardrive

-FCPGA Celeron 566@850--1.75V, Been running like this for 15 months now. Had it going higher, around 935 if I recall correctly but bought it back down since I lack a good tempertaure probe.

The cheapest Celly 566 is $46.00+$10.00 shipping on Pricewatch. The 800mhz celly is $97.00+shipping--the slotket and ORB and the fact that it's OC'd to 850 is how I priced it.

I have only done 2 or 3 transactions so my evals are short but here it is anyway.

Dropped in the processor @ 850, so far working fine.

BTW what temps were you running while at 850mhz?

Shoot, that chip, when I had it monitored would top out at 45C full load. After I used some artic silver, it dropped 3 degrees full load. Nice chip, kind of miss the ol' chip.

BTW, for 850, that chip really runs good at 1.7 - 1.75. Only raised the voltage when pushing it to 953 I believe.

Izzy, also ensure that you have adequate cooling inside your case too. Not that you need it but for piece of mind and since you will be stressing that chip pretty much the whole time http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif , get some extra fans in there.

I only used one in the front and eventually stopped using that because I hated the noise.
