Can anyone help me figure out how to set up my computer so that a password is required before you can reach Windows?
I have Award Modular Bios v4.
The string is 07/01/1999-;440bx-8671-2a69kg0dc-00
I have no idea if I have provided the correct information, but I hope so.

Hello,

I am not familiar with that version, but I presume (by the date of your bios) that you should have built-in security in your bios. Run the bios, then security and setup password, save changes and after start-up whoever wants to use your PC should be forced to enter the password.
