I think djwolfman has at least the right to ask an opinion from fellow members here on what has transpired. He clearly did not post any names of the other party involved so any privacy issues have not really been breached other than a description of some events related to an agreement. Just from what he posted we really have no idea if he offered any form of alternative payment plan so chastising him with the " doesnt look good" statement seems out of place considering that the needed info to base the statement from was never made known...
however its best you have the money before you engage in a trade as most traders who post stuff for sale want to sell asap.
Would if the buyer had the funds available (be it thru PayPal, credit card..etc.) but some unforseen uncontrollable problem arose like a bank's or paypal's system having a hiccup thereby sending a client's account into something that needed to be straightened out and caused a slight delay in getting the proper transfer?
djwolfman basically had shown he was a 100% gauranteed buyer by his willingness to communicate with the seller about a problem that arose temporarily preventing him from making the transaction right away after the initial agreement and also by his effort to remedy the situation as prompt as humanly possible.
IMO a seller should at least have the common courtesy to inform any potential buyer of any change made on their part of an agreement that has been made. I feel that it is just plain rude and poor business manners for someone to make an business agreement such as this and sell the product, with absolutely no communication or fair warning, out from underneath the buyer based purely on what generally gives off the impression of mere impatience.
djwolfman,
there really isnt much you can do about what has happened since it basically boils down to poor manners - other than chalk it up as a trading experience gone awry. Just don't let it prevent you from any potential future trades. There still are some well mannered, honest and courteous traders here. And any deal made with one of them will more than make up for any bad experience by giving you a positive one http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif ...
Just my 2 cents....

see my posting under "some people are real as....oles" from last week--i drove 75 miles at night-in heavy rain-only to have an item promised to me sold to another guy who called after i did! Also- i was first on ther spot and the selkler still refused to sell item to me! He clkaimed I was "laste for our appointment"--i was 15 minutes late but explained i had become lost due toi his directions etc.
all that effort for nil.
