Let him explain the program before we draw conclusions... Does this little program kill banners like the free ISPs tend to use, or the pop-up ads that magically appear at some websites? Possibly something else I haven't thought of?

Most of these programs, just take off the ad-banners in sites including pop ups to make loading faster. It could be helpful too incase you go to warez sites that have LOTS of porno. Or even a porno site. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

I downloaded adSubtract SE about 2 weeks ago but hadn't installed it because I was trying to get Adkiller to work. I gave up on adkiller and uninstalled it and then installed adsubtract. I was shocked that it actually worked. It has a stat window which gives you a list of ads and cookies blocked. It also has a custom filter list which allows you put in certain sites that you may need to accept cookies.

I should note though that if you turn on the online update it also sends the websites you've been at to adsubtracts website. It says it is a anonymous but who knows. You really do need the online update on though because new ad servers come online every month.

I'm glad you appreciate the free message board and articles we work so hard to produce for you, enough to keep us from getting paid. It really makes me feel that my effort is worthwhile.

The last time one of my posts was removed, I didn't even have a chance to do it myself.

I really did not anticipate the unique form of censorship I have now encountered.

You can post what you want. Feel free. Could you do me one favor though? Try to remember that there are HUMAN BEINGS who run this site and would like to sometimes get paid for the work we do, just like you probably want to get paid for your job. Looking at banner ads is not going to kill you.
