pentium 166 system price check

hmmm, somebody might give $150 for it. Personally I've given away computers that are twice that speed. But if it's a complete system and works good...then I'd say it's worth $75-$125. That's strictly a guess. I don't really know what used stuff goes for because I usually end up giving most of my old equipment away. (not sure why, I think I'm trying to rack up good karma points in case I do something really bad.)

$1 per mhz is sortof a std price for use
systems, so $150 is a correct price.

alot of people are still using 166's and 233's..a local bargain finder paper in my city,has lots of listing for approx 200.00 u.s for a loaded system(no monitor)..and thats what i paid last year for my 166mmx.then upgraded to 233..when i upgrade some more.i'll be selling it as a 233 for 400.00 canadian obo.aprox 250 u.s

Just upgraded my parents computer and wanted to see what the old one was worth.Its a pent
166mmx,2.0 hd, 48 meg ram,modem,cd rom,sound,
floppy,keyboard,mouse. Also has origianl cd with restore win95 and some assorted titles.
Would like to see $150 plus shipping but wasnt sure so tell me whats it worth.

Thanks for the replys guys. It works fine but not for the games my nephew wants to play. Also it was a pian to add a 20 gig hd.
It would only let me add as 10 2 gig partitions and not knowing where to find a bios upgrade I didnt want to confuse my parents anymore. Got a great system at office depot. $400 for a 700 duron,20 gig,64 memory and the usually. Couldnt pass that deal up. So anybody want a 166 for $150?
