Scanners in Win2K Pro!

I have recently purchased Win2K Pro, after using a beta version for a while (on a spare HD)

I have had some trouble getting drivers for certian hardware, although most of this is now resolved (either scrap the hardware, or get the drivers).

I have a Mustek Scan Express 6000P scanner, I use the scanner quite a bit, but no drivers for Win2K. I don`t really have the space to use Dual Boot with 98 and 2000 Pro ( I only have a 6.4GB HD an at the moment). WHen I purchase a new HD (40GB), I will wish to use 2000 Pro from that point on. If I can avoid it, I want to do without Dual Boot, since most stuff works......

Is there a generic scanner driver I can use under 2000 Pro, or do I need the manufacturers drivers? Isn`t there justa standard TWAIN driver? Help on this would be appreciated......

If not, I guess I will have to ditch the scanner.....

I had the same problems with my Acer scanner, when I installed Win2K. You need specific drivers for you model from the manufacturer. You also need to fire up the scanner before booting windoze.
