Has anyone else used one of these?

I just got one today, and I love it! It works great compared to my old mousepad. Maybe a little bit small, but it is definately better. Also, a little pricey at $17 CDN for a mousepad!

It has a very smoother and cleaner surface than your normal mouse pad, and its about one tenth the thickness. only problem is that it is smaller in size (which is strange since the one I bought is for "gaming", you would think it would be huge) than a normal mousepad. But if you really want smooth and quick movement, spray the little gliders on the bottom of your mouse with some Lemon pledge or endust, and watch the sucka move like a puck on an air hockey table http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

Also, the surface of the pad has groove-type indentations in it that supposedly keep dust in the grooves, and let the ball roll on top.

They tend to curl and bubble up pretty badly or I wouldn't be using an EverGlide. I like them a lot but dislike that curl. You might wish to read about a variation and deal at http://anandforums.gisystech.com/messageview.cfm?catid=40&threadid=134937 http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

I make my own mouse pads. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif
Go down to your local auto. upholstery shop and buy some high quality vinyl cloth(any color u can imagine),some 1/8 in. foam backing and some 3M spray adhesive. I use the back side of the cloth for the surface. Make it any size u want. I bought enough material(had to by a minimum amount) for <20 bucks to do 10 12"x 12" pads. A very fine coat of baby powder makes 'er slide like a hockey puck. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

Has this curling and bubbling on the mouse pad ever happened to Underclocked? Does it just happen by itself, or does it happen when you cut it or something?

Yes, it does slightly curl at the bottom "corners." I dont know why, and I have never had it affect my use of the mouse, but it does make it look kinda shoddy.

IM going to try to make my own mouse pad, thanks for the info Reddog4629!

Just glue it down to your old mousing surface or even the table. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

I used 3m spray adhesive and glued mine to a thin piece of balsam. When it wears out it will just peel off the wood. Everglides work well too.

Yes, curling does happend.. either use glue OR in my case.. with 2 mousepads.. curles WENT AWAY! after some time.. don't ask me how.. they appeared rather quickly after I started using the pad.. but also flatned themselves out and back to original shape after some time.. so I'm happy.

Yes, it happened to me or I wouldn't have posted that. Mine curled on the edges and bubbled up in the middle. Aggravating!! I gave it away, but I still have another new one laying under some cds hoping to permanent press it. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif

Grrrr... I hope that doesn't happen to mine... it's too expensive for it to break!

Mouse Pad?

Lol, i don`t use one! Pain in the *** if you ask me........

My desk has the perfect surface, and the mouse tracks better than on a pad...

Some type of laminated chipboard !
