Well I used that IE Radicator to separate windows explorer from Internet explorer and in the middle of it the power went out. I did have a backup battery but I think something didnt go right because windows is just acting weird since I uninstalled and reinstalled Internet explorer. Alot of script errors and bizarre file behavoir which has got me thinking I may have to used the restore disc.

If I do use the restore disc will it wipe the backup folder I have installed on F: drive(a partition of a 20 gig hard drive) or will it just install on the C: drive ???????????????????????????????????????

I really need to know this before I use the restore disc otherwise I lose about 3 gigs of programs !!!!!!!!1

Try re-installing Internet Explorer; that's about all I can think to do. Also, check out this utility at Ocshoot.com: It's called Win98Lite; maybe it won't cause as many problems.

What make is the computer? And what is the restore disk, is it home made or was it shipped with your comp??

Either way i'd suggest not using it there nasty and genrally restore you PC to how it was when you got it. If you 20gig partition is seperate to windows and on a seperate HDD then disconnect it if you have to use the restore disk and it wont touch it.

Other wise it looks like you got a couple of hours sitting in front of a screen watching percentage bars go up!!!

Every restore disk is different. My IBM disk would NOT destroy other partitions, but others would. I recommend getting your hands on a Win98 disk and going after it that way.

I don't know much about this program--but would a registry reinstall fix it?
