brainwave of mine:
I think its fun to make a device, mounted somewhere in the front of your computer (spare cdrom slot) with a flashing light or something (maybe a running lights), which is connected to your HDD activity led (thus reacts on you accessing the HDD)

Any ideas?

Sorry are you suggest a bigger version of the HDD led??? or are you trying to get at something else??

If its the first its easy to do, you just need a switching circuit (with a relay i think) to turn a bigger light on.

Oh and I hope if you do do this that you dont suffer for epelipsy.

i thought of something more spectacular, like a circuit that calculates HDD intensity (led flashes per second or something), like a streo VU meter
