About the laptop:
Compaq Contura Aero 4/33c
486 33mhz Color Sub Notebook (Small footprint)
8megs RAM (upgradable to 24megs)
1.? GB harddrive (expensive & difficult upgrade on this model)
Win95 and other software installed
Built-in Trackball
1 PCMCIA port
Docking station (port replicator, battery charger)
Two power supplies
Two DEAD Batteries (one actually holds a brief charge, and it might be able to be reconditioned)
I don't have the PCMCIA floppy drive (you can get one from FleaBay)
Carry case
33.6 PCMCIA Modem
10mbit PMCICA NIC
It runs Win95 fine, and Word & Excel, Outlook, etc... It still has plenty of uses, I just don't need it any more. Email me at Monrocm@texaco.com if you have questions. Just search FleaBay for pics of similar models.
I'm looking to trade it for something(s) from my Wants list:
DSL 4 port Router
KVM w/ Cables
1Gig Athlon
IDE DVD or CD Rom
Compact Flash Card(s) for handhelds
Athlon (& SD11) approved power supply
Nice PCI Sound Card
Homeworld & Homeworld:Cataclysm game
The Sims game
Diablo II game
Anything else you feel like offering me?
I also have this stuff for trade, maybe we can work a package deal:
ISA 3com 10/100 NIC model 3c515 ($108 on pricewatch, my price is $35 shipped)
3Com Megahertz PCMCIA 10 Mbps Lan card model 3cce589et ($59 on pricewatch, my price $30 shipped)
3Com Megahertz PCMCIA 10/100 NIC model 3ccfe574bt Brand New and Unused (only tested), box crushed, but NIC undamaged and works perfectly ($50 shipped)
Two (2) external SCSI enclosures w/ cables ($23 each, buy both for $35 and I'll throw in a 1GB SCSI drive) One enclosure has Centronics ports on the back, the other has SCSI 1 ports. I have two cables that have centronics on one end and SCSI 1 (SCSI 1 does look like parallel, doesn't it?) on the other. I also have SCSI 1 to SCSI 2 adapters.
Compaq DC Vehicle (power) Adapter for Armada M300 and M700 series laptops ($35, obo)
DC Auto Adapter for Qualcom QCP 1900 / Sony CMD500 Cell Phone ($18 obo)
PCMCIA Compact Flash card adapter that lets you read your CF cards with your laptop ($18 shipped)
AC adapter "bricks" for Compaq LTE 5000 series laptops ($20 shipped)
