I have a dead laptop with a working processor (K6-2 333). If I yank the laptop apart, can I put this processor in a Socket 7 board?

Ultima 07-26-2000, 10:25 AM I think it can, but remember that those cpu's run at a much lower voltage, so be sure that yer mobo can handle that low of a voltage. Pim Dputiger 07-26-2000, 10:39 AM Where could I find the voltage on a K6-2 333 on a laptop? bkehoe 07-26-2000, 11:01 AM You should be able to use the AMD laptop processors in a pc motherboard that will support low voltage. The chip voltage is written on top. You can't, however, use any mobile PII, Celeron, P!!! in a desktop. Brendan SysOpt.com
