maybe a stupid question - oh well -
how do you set up two computers with only one monitor? - not that i really need to know - but sometimes I see a cheap computer that i wouldn't mind messing with or OC'ing -but I don't have room for two monitors -

Theres a switchbox you can get to hook up multiple monitors to one computer, or vice versa. Kinda like a parallel switchbok. I have one that connects two computers to one mouse, keyboard, & monitor. Works very well. If you go to www.cablesunlimited.com, (http://www.cablesunlimited.com,) you can order them. They're part number SWB-3970 for PS/2 connections, SWB-3900 for serial/AT mouse/kb. Unfortunately, at this time, they're redoing their site.

We have a 8-way digital switchbox at work that allows 8 computers to be used by just one monitor, one keyboard, & one mouse. Pretty cool, but not cheap. Ours was like $400+.

One catalog calls them "KVM SWITCHES" , the cheapest one is a Belkin "Omnicube 2-port PS/2 for $99.00 the 4-port is $119.00. The ad says "Use multiple computers with only one monitor, keyboard and mouse" a catalog from www.warehouse.com (http://www.warehouse.com) is where I got the info.. lotsa luck, DrVette
